by Jimmie Brooks – Regional CPMA Booster
Greetings to the churches of God in the southwest region. The theme for CPMA this year is: “The light of the world”. This time of year we specifically set aside time to remember the birth of the GREATEST light that the world has ever known. However, we know that if He abides in us, then the light is in us so that we may show forth that light to a lost and dying world.
In Mark 4:1-20 Jesus began to teach from a ship. This is one account where he taught about the parable of the sower. After explaining to them the meaning of the parable Jesus went on to say in v21 “…Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? And not to be set on a candlestick?”
I encourage each and every one of you to continue the work in this lost and dying world. Don’t hide you’re your light, but let is shine forth that people may see and glorify God. You may be the ONLY light that some lost person may ever see, so please “sow” the word, whether in witnessing directly, or by the life you live. For those who have already paid their CPMA dues, we thank you. For those who have not at this time, we encourage you to join the CPMA for another year. God bless each and every one as you continue in His work.
